Books make me happy.
Going to the library in the summer with my mother and siblings is a cherished memory.
Now as a writer, I get to recapture that wonder that I felt reading a new book. I am a “pantster” most of the time, writing by the seat of my pants. I never know what is going to happen. One character in particular, Clay ap Stewart, had me wondering what he would do right up to the moment I wrote it. So, yes, writing gives me that same sense of wonder. It pulls me into that world of enchantment and offers an escape from reality.
I mean, have you seen what’s going on out there?
Join me in avoiding reality . . . just for a little while . . . the world will still be there once you’re done.
